With Pets on Akasa we offer you the option to travel with your furry friends in the cabin and also carry them in the cargo compartment. This service is in line with Akasa’s vision to create an inclusive and humane travel experience. Currently, Pets on Akasa is available on domestic flights within India.
- Pets on Akasa is available for cats and dogs aged 3 months or older
- With Pets on Akasa a total of three pets are allowed on a flight - two pets can be carried in the cabin and one in the cargo compartment
- Booking your pet’s travel at least 24 hours before your flight is mandatory to ensure adequate preparations
- Properly validated vaccination and health certificate from a registered vet must be obtained within 72 hours of travel. Once procured this health certificate will be considered valid until 15 days from the date of its issuance.

- In cabin with passenger - Maximum up to 10 kgs
- Check-in at airport - Maximum up to 32 kgs
- Travel from cargo terminal - Maximum up to 100 kgs

Need to know
Three important guidelines to travel with Pets on Akasa
- Container size for cabin should not exceed 19” L x 12.6” W x 10” H
- Container size for check-in/cargo should not exceed 36” L x 28” W x 28” H
- Your pet must remain inside their closed/zipped up container in the airport and for the entire flight
