Bent bridges and broken stairs run between the slopes, leading to a 30-foot-tall head of Shiva, called Unakotiswara Kal Bhairava, surrounded by sculptures of goddesses – Ganga and Durga.  Presently, it is the official residence of the governor of Tripura. However, the southern part of the palace known as Rabindra Kanan after the revered Tagore is open to the public. It is believed that he created many masterpieces by himself while walking around these lawns.

8. Kamala Sagar

The Kamala Sagar Kali temple is located on a hill overlooking the lake. It houses the deity Maa Kali, made of sandstone with a divine linga at her feet, who is said to be identical to Mahishasurmardini.
