Our Planet
Sustainability is a core focus area for us at Akasa Air. In this regard, Akasa is proud to be an environmentally progressive airline with the youngest and greenest fleet in Indian skies. Powered by CFM International LEAP- 1B engines and incorporating advanced technology winglets, the 737 MAX offers excellent economics, reducing fuel use and emissions by 20 per cent compared to the airplanes it replaces. The Boeing 737 family of aircraft is a quieter aircraft, creating a 50 per cent smaller noise footprint and offering 20 per cent lower airframe maintenance costs.
Furthermore, demonstration of our commitment in every area of our offering – be it our office premises, in-flight and in our collaboration with partners. Our food packaging is made from ethically sourced paper grown from sustainable crops and our food menus include plant-based meals. In addition, our crew uniforms and footwear are made from recycled materials and give preference to crew comfort, while breaking away from stereotypes.
