Operating Hours 

  • Opens 3 hours prior to scheduled departure 
  • Closes 1 hour before departure 

Who can use Self-Baggage Drop? 

Passengers who have completed web or mobile check-in, carrying a valid boarding pass and travelling with only one check-in bag.

Eligible categories include: 

  • Adults travelling with children 
  • Senior citizens 
  • Students 
  • Seamen 
  • Group travellers (each passenger must process baggage individually)

Who cannot use Self-Baggage Drop? 

For safety and operational reasons, this service is not available for:

  • Adults travelling with infants 
  • Unaccompanied minors 
  • Visually impaired passengers
  • Passengers requiring wheelchair assistance
  • Passengers travelling on international flights

Additionally, passengers with special requests, passengers travelling with pets, carrying sports/musical equipment must proceed to check-in counters.

Steps to use Self-Baggage Drop

Step 1:

Scan your web or mobile boarding pass at the Self-Baggage Drop scanner. Once recognised, your travel details will appear on the screen.

Step 2:

Place your bag on the conveyor belt to check the baggage weight.

Step 3:

If the bag weight is within the permitted limit, the machine will print your bag tag. If the bag weight exceeds the limit, you will be directed to the airport check-in counter for assistance.  

Step 4:

Attach the printed bag tag to your baggage by following the instructions shown on the screen.

Step 5:

The machine will scan the bag tag and accept your baggage. Once your bag is accepted, the machine will print a baggage receipt. You will also receive a confirmation message on your registered mobile number, and your PNR will be updated with the bag tag number.
