- Weather and Best Time to Travel: Qatar has a desert climate with extreme summers and mild winters. Best time to visit is during the cooler months from November to April.
- Holidays and Shop Closures: Qatar National Day on December 18 and Sports Day (second Tuesday of February) are national holidays. Shops may remain closed for up to two days during Eid al Fitr and up to four days during Eid al Adha.

- General Policy
- Quarantine is not required for all travellers anymore. However, those who test positive for COVID-19 upon arrival in Qatar must follow the country's quarantine procedures.
- The pre-examination for the coronavirus, including PCR or rapid antigen tests, is no longer needed for all incoming individuals.
- Visa requirements
- Indians require a visa to enter Doha, Qatar. You can submit your visa application on the official visa website - https://www.hayya.qa/
- However, under specific conditions, you may qualify for visa-free entry. Please verify your visa requirements by checking here - https://visitqatar.com/intl-en/practical-info/visas
- The validity of the Hayya card has been extended until January 24, 2024. All HAYYA Card holders are allowed to enter the State of Qatar until January 10, 2024, based on the following:
- A valid passport for a period of not less than 3 months, with the need to update any changes in the travel document information.
- Valid return ticket
- Valid HAYYA Permit with barcode attached.
- Proof of a confirmed hotel reservation or proof of hosting family or friends issued by the Hayya platform.
- For the Hayya Entry Visas valid till 24th January 2024, the travel insurance must cover the whole validity of the entry visa. Therefore, insurance must be valid till 24th January 2024.
4 .Ok to Board
OK to board procedure is a visa verification process required for certain categories of travellers. This additional verification is necessary after you have procured a visa and has been mandated by certain countries to ensure that your travel documentation has been thoroughly checked and approved before you can travel.
For travel to Doha, Ok to Board message is mandatory for the below categories:
- All customers holding ECR (Immigration Check Required) passport
- All customers travelling with a print-out of Labour & Work e-visa
For travel to Doha, OK to Board message is not required for the following categories:
- Customers holding valid Resident Permit or passport stamped with Resident Visa
- Customers eligible for “Visa on Arrival” irrespective of nationality
- Customers travelling with a print-out of Business and Tourist e-Visa
