What is an Electronic ticket or eTicket?

An eTicket is the electronic version of the conventional paper ticket. It is an electronic record kept in the airline’s reservations system.

 

What is the valid photo identification required to be carried with an eTicket?

Valid photo identification can be any of the following:

*Passport - mandatory for all international travel

*National IDs for domestic travel - Driving license, Election photo identity card, Income tax PAN card, any official Government issued photo ID card.

 

What are the time restrictions of buying a ticket online?

Online booking is available for all flights up to 2 hours before scheduled departure time. Online booking is available for any flight, with a scheduled departure up to 361 days in the future.

 

How do I apply for a ticket refund? 

For bookings made online on our website www.akasaair.com app, or Akasa Care Centre, please visit the "Manage Booking" section of our website to cancel and apply refund for your reservation. You can also reschedule, re-book or cancel your flight by contacting our Akasa Care centre at 9606 112131

 

How do I cancel bookings made online on the Akasa Air website? 

For bookings made online on our website www.akasaair.com or through Akasa Care Centre, please visit the "Manage Booking" section of our website to cancel your reservation. You can also reschedule, re-book or cancel your flight by contacting our Akasa Care Centre at 9606 112131

 

How do I reschedule bookings made online on the Akasa Air website?
For bookings made online on our website www.akasaair.com or Akasa Care Centre, please visit the "Manage Booking" section of our website to reschedule or make any changes to your reservation. You can also reschedule, re-book or cancel your flight by contacting our Akasa Care centre at 9606 112131

 

Can I make changes to my booking after I have purchased a ticket? 

For bookings made online on our website www.akasaair.com, please visit the "Manage Booking" section to cancel or make the changes to your reservation. You can also re-book or cancel your flight by contacting Akasa Air Care Centre.

 

If you wish to change any of the details of your booking e.g. date and time, changes need to be informed to Akasa Air 2 hours prior to the scheduled time of departure of your flight to avoid any no-show charges if applicable. Changes to your booking may incur a re-booking fee depending on the applicable fare rule as fares are dynamic in nature. 

 

Would I be able to cancel my ticket and use the same ticket in the future?

No, you will not be able to use your cancelled ticket in the future.

 

Till when can I cancel/ refund my booking online? 

On domestic flights you can cancel/ refund till 2 hours prior to flight departure.

 

Can I alter my name incase I am not able to travel and transfer my ticket to another person?

Currently, the tickets are non-transferable, hence, name changes on a confirmed reservation are not permissible. You will need to cancel your ticket and book a new ticket with the new passenger's name. Cancellation charges, will be applicable accordingly. 

 

Am I eligible for a refund?

Yes, all non-utilised taxes are always fully refundable. Other refunds are subject to action taken on booking. 

 

Will I be charged a fee for changing my flight?

Yes, you will be charged a change fee and fare difference (if any) for the same.

 

How much of free checked baggage allowance is permitted?

The per person, check-in baggage allowance is 15 kgs (1 piece only, not exceeding more than 32 kgs per baggage) and your cabin baggage allowance will be one handbag upto 7kgs (upto 115 cms). 

 

What if my baggage exceeds the permitted limitations?

If your baggage exceeds the free baggage allowance, excess baggage charges will apply at the time of check-in at the Airport Counter. Also, you can purchase Excess Baggage on our website at a discounted rate. 

 

What is the infant baggage allowance?
An infant is only allowed one handbag upto 7 kgs and 115 cms. For more details please visit www.akasaair.com or app.

 

What is PNR?

Passenger Name Record (PNR) is a six alpha-numeric digit code given after booking a flight.

 

How many passengers can be booked in one PNR?

In a single transaction, you can book up to nine (9) passengers, including adults and children. 

 

What is Convenience Fee?

A non-refundable convenience fee of ₹350 (inclusive of taxes, as applicable)  is charged per segment, per passenger for bookings made on our website, mobile app, contact centre and airport counter. This convenience fee is collected as Akasa Air incurs various costs, including towards maintenance and operation of our website, app and support systems.
