Akasa Air strengthens connectivity from Ahmedabad, launching daily flights to Hyderabad and Goa

 Over 80 weekly options now seamlessly connect Ahmedabad to 

                                                                                                            Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Goa

National, 13 March 2023: Akasa Air, India’s youngest airline, has announced the addition of new routes from Ahmedabad, connecting it with Lucknow, Goa and Hyderabad as it marks over seven months of operations from the city. Effective 15 March 2023, the airline will connect Ahmedabad with double daily non-stop return flights to Hyderabad as well as conveniently timed flights to Goa’s New Manohar International Airport with double daily flights. From 7 March 2023, Akasa Air has further enhanced connectivity from Ahmedabad to Mumbai and Lucknow with a seamless through flight (no change of aircraft) in both directions.

Akasa Air has steadily ramped up its operations in the past seven months since its commercial launch. Strengthening its network, Akasa Air now offers 12 departures daily, connecting Ahmedabad to five other major cities namely Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Goa, with direct daily flights.

Commenting on the announcement Praveen Iyer Co-Founder, and Chief Commercial Officer, Akasa Air, said “Ahmedabad has a special connection with Akasa Air as it was the first destination on our network, with our maiden commercial flight landing in Ahmedabad on August 7, 2022. These new routes to Goa and Hyderabad, in time for the upcoming summer break will provide choice and comfort to our customers from the city, at the most affordable prices. We are committed to becoming India’s most dependable airline and will continue to expand our network and service portfolio to offer holistic and seamless air connectivity to an increasing number of travellers across the country.”

Since its launch in August 2022, Akasa Air has carried over 1 million revenue passengers and crossed the milestone of operating over 700 weekly connecting 14 cities, including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Guwahati, Agartala, Pune, Visakhapatnam, Lucknow, Goa, Hyderabad, and Varanasi.
