National, October 07, 2026: Akasa Air, India’s fastest-growing airline, has unveiled a new selection of inflight culinary offerings through Café Akasa, bringing together gourmet experiences, familiar Indian flavours, global inspirations and thoughtful choices designed around the evolving preferences of today’s traveller.

As an experience-led carrier, Akasa Air believes that the journey begins well before reaching the destination. Every interaction onboard, from the welcome to the meal, is an opportunity to make travel more enjoyable, relevant and memorable. Today’s Indian traveller is increasingly adventurous when it comes to food, exploring new cuisines, ingredients while continuing to value flavours that feel familiar and rooted in culture. With its fourth menu since commencing operations, Café Akasa continues to build on this philosophy by bringing greater variety, culinary creativity and choice to the inflight experience.

Familiar flavours meet global culinary inspiration

The new selection features distinctive offerings such as Chicken Pulimunchi Sushi, an innovative take that pairs the bold, spicy and tangy flavours of Karnataka’s coastal Chicken Pulimunchi with the globally loved sushi format. The Vietnamese Chicken Salad brings vibrant Southeast Asian flavours to a protein-rich meal, while the Grilled Chicken Steak combines Pan-Asian influences with a mango achari relish. The Asian Chicken Sandwich offers a familiar, convenient format with contemporary flavour notes. The Tandoori Soya Wrap, a Jain-friendly option featuring smoky tandoori-marinated soya and fresh vegetables, brings together flavour and a protein-rich profile in a convenient format. For younger travellers, the Kids Sky Treats combo offers a specially curated option designed for little flyers.

The beverage selection also introduces travellers to new tastes, including Pepping Sea Buckthorn, a contemporary beverage featuring the distinctive Himalayan berry, alongside speciality options such as Colombian Brew South Indian Filter Coffee and unsweetened coffee.

Choice is central to the Café Akasa experience, with the menu offering vegetarian and non-vegetarian options across different tastes, dietary preferences and travel occasions. From a light bite or wholesome snack to a more indulgent meal, Café Akasa brings together a selection designed to give travellers greater choice while making inflight dining an integral part of the overall journey.

Commenting on the launch, Naarayan T V, Chief Marketing Officer, Akasa Air, said “At Akasa Air, we believe being an experience-led carrier is about making every part of the journey count. Food has a unique ability to shape how we experience a journey, bring comfort and connect us to places and cultures. With this new Café Akasa menu, we are bringing together culinary influences from across India and the world, alongside protein-rich, health-focused and indulgent options. Our ambition is simple: to make every journey feel a little more considered, with food that surprises, delights and leaves a lasting impression.”

Bringing the spirit of celebrations onboard

At Akasa Air, food is also a way to celebrate India’s rich cultural diversity. Since commencing operations in August 2022, Café Akasa has introduced specially curated meals inspired by occasions and regional traditions throughout the year.
